The XIV Foresight Training Course “The health emergency: regulatory crash and future perspectives” took place also this year virtually on 10 December.
Relevant speakers from the European Medicines Agency, National Authority, Academia and companies gathered together providing impressive insights on topics crucial for the historical period we are in.
The changes occurred due to the current pandemic and the recent novelties in the regulatory as well as in the clinical framework were dealt with deeply. A focus on decentralized clinical trials was presented considering both the company and research perspective. The value of the use and sharing of health data was also addressed, including crucial experiences carried out by experts in the field, such as artificial intelligence, federated learning, FAIRification initiatives, patients’ registries and the use of real-world evidence.
What is left of all these changes? How will they influence the future?
These questions were widely addressed during the Course and interesting point of views from different stakeholders were discussed with the audience.
