Kick-off meeting of EJP RD
On January 30-31, 2019 the European Joint Programme on Rare Disease will officially kick-off in Paris, at the Institut IMAGINE.
This important initiative brings over 130 institutions from 35 countries to create a comprehensive, sustainable ecosystem allowing a virtuous circle between research, care and medical innovation. The EJP RD has two main objectives: on one hand, to improve the integration, the efficacy, the production and the social impact of research on rare diseases through the development, demonstration and promotion of Europe/world-wide sharing of research and clinical data, materials, processes, knowledge and know-how. On the other hand, this initiative aims at implementing and further developing an efficient model of financial support for all types of research on rare diseases (fundamental, clinical, epidemiological, social, economic, health service) coupled with accelerated exploitation of research results for benefit of patients.
The two-day meeting will be open to the members of the Executive Committee, that will define and present the work packages, task and subtasks to be implemented during this 60-months project, funded by the H2020 Programme.
