The final conference of the EJP RD (European Joint Programme on Rare Diseases) project was held in Bari, Italy, on 27 and 28 May, 2024. More than 150 researchers, clinicians, patients, research funders and industry representatives joined the event sharing the most updated novelties coming from rare disease research and the project outputs offered to the scientific community.
Fondazione Gianni Benzi, one of the key partners of the project, was one of the organizers of this event.
Our President welcomed participants with the representatives of the project coordinator and the European Commission.
During the final conference, Viviana Giannuzzi chaired the session dedicated to health and research policies and the possible impact of future initiatives, where Annalisa Landi had the opportunity to share the contribution of EJP RD in this field.
The work of EJP RD represents an important milestone in the fight against rare diseases, as it is creating a global and sustainable ecosystem for medical research, care and innovation dedicated to rare diseases.
Fondazione Gianni Benzi is proud to have played a key role in this initiative by leading the ethical, regulatory and legal activities, thus contributing to the EJP RD important achievements.
We will continue our efforts to improve the lives of people with rare diseases.
