The conference “The ethics of disruption: from AI to bioethics in art and research” will be held online from 5 to 7 July 2021. It will explore the constituent parts of an ethics framework for approaching, understanding and regulating disruptive technologies focusing on responsible research and innovation.
You can freely register to the conference here.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming increasingly crucial to analyse complex research problems by discovering associations among different types of information and to generate knowledge to support research and medical decisions.
However, the use of AI poses relevant opportunities as well as challenges, not only in the way that AI research is designed and executed, but also in the ways that technology and knowledge should be properly transferred to lead to ethically sound innovation.
Some of the researchers at Fondazione Benzi are actively committed in this field, in fact a paper on “Machine Learning systems applied to health data” , that addresses the regulatory and ethical issues to be considered in this promising sector, was published.
The Onassis Digital and Innovation Summer School 2021 will bring together world-class experts from the fields of innovation, the arts, intellectual property, data protection and bioethics in order to explore ways to develop and operationalise a solid ethics framework for disruptive technologies.
