The 'First Scientific Day’ aims at drawing up a balance of the activities promoted in the first two years by Gianni Benzi Pharmacological  Research Foundation as well as presenting projects, awards and national and international scientific collaborations.
The day was organized in collaboration with the Pharmaco-Biological Department of the University of Bari and obtained the patronage of the Italian Society of Pharmacology, the Apulia Region and the 'Aldo Moro' University of Bari.

In addition, during the day the Scientific Prize 'To continue the Fight against Doping', 2009 edition, was awarded in the presence of the notary, Carmela Mongelli.
